An air operated diaphragm pump (also known as AODD pump or membrane pump) is a type of positive displacement pump that uses compressed air as a power source. The compressed air is shifted from one chamber to the other by a linked shaft that allows the chambers to move simultaneously. This back-and-forth motion, forces liquid out of one chamber and into the outlet manifold, while filling the opposite fluid chamber via the inlet manifold. Upon changeover, the fluid section that was filled on the previous shift empties into the outlet manifold and the fills the opposite chamber via the inlet manifold. The rapid changeover allows for reduced pulsation at the outlet.
Designed with fewer parts than competitive pumps, Graco’s air operated double diaphragm pumps features our stall-free, low pulsation air valve, which is externally accessible—ensuring rapid changeovers and minimum downtimes.
Graco’s electric double diaphragm pumps (EODD) are ideal for applications that require low pulsation and a smooth flow. Our energy efficient electric drive reduces energy consumption up to 5x compared to traditional air operated diaphragm pumps.
Each pump is ruggedly constructed to resist corrosion and deliver a long, trouble-free product life.
The Graco diaphragm pumps come in a wide range of air operated and electric diaphragm pumps (ATEX models available). You can also choose from a extensive selection of materials to handle numerous applications, including corrosive and abrasive fluid transfer.
Gracos air operated, and electric double diaphragm pumps (AODD & EODD) are designed to pump a broad range of foods, including concentrated fruit juices, sauces, pastes, starches, wine, food-grade oil, jams and jellies. Saniforce AODD pumps transfer a broad range of food & personal care products. The pneumatic diaphragm pumps are designed to tackle rigorous, continuous duty use with high flow rates and portability. They are manufactured with your productivity in mind – providing you with one of the most reliable pumps on the market.
Graco portable food-grade double diaphragm pumps offer food processors flow rates that are at least 25% greater than many competitive pumps. Higher flow rates give you the flexibility to process more food products, ranging from low to medium viscosity fluids. Additionally, Graco's class-leading dependable diaphragm pumps offer a wide range of food-grade elastomers including Santoprene, PTFE and overmolded EPDM/PTFE.
For maximum sanitary safety, all fluid contact materials in our sanitary double diaphragm pumps also comply with FDA regulations, including the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 21.
Wilden’s accessory products offer flexibility and value to your liquid process and expand the application range of Wilden pumps by complimenting the performance and specification of your pump. Wilden electronic controllers automate your Wilden pump for batching, and other electronically controlled dispensing applications and processes. By eliminating pump pulsation we can also create laminar process flow, or control the liquid level within a system or process.

Features and Benefits:
Air diaphragm pumps are widely used in a variety of applications due to their versatility. Air operated double diaphragm pumps feature few moving parts, with no motor, base plate or other peripherals required. The design style, coupled with its positive displacement functionality, allows for the transfer of shear sensitive products with self-priming up to 25 feet. Air diaphragm pumps feature low initial investment as well as low replacement costs for wear parts when compared to other pump types.
Atex options are available
Nomad Diaphragm Pumps are interchangeable with their Wilden counterparts but are significantly more cost effective and excellent quality. This means that while being an extremely reliable alternative to Wilden, there is no need to spend time and money changing pipework in order to lock in the cost savings.
Backed by all American JDA Global you can find confidence in a five year limited warranty.
Nomad Diaphragm Pumps are available in four different body materials; aluminium, ductile iron, stainless steel and polypropylene with all major elastomers. They come in seven port sizes; 1/4", ½", 1", 1 ½" ", 2" 3" and 4". All are capable of self priming, dry running, solids handling and high pressures.
Sold worldwide, these pumps are suitable for a full spectrum of applications from mining and construction, oil, ceramic, resin and chemical transfer to sanitary such as food & beverage. AODD pumps are particularly suitable for pumping chemicals, petroleum, foods, beverage, cleaning solutions, slurry, waste water, adhesives, pharmaceuticals and higher viscosity fluids.
